My public vendor page says not found

Two things have to be true before your page exists, and one of them is easy to miss.

  1. 1Your page needs BOTH a web address and the switch turned on. Setting the address alone does nothing — the page stays unpublished and anyone visiting gets not found.
  2. 2Go to Settings -> Public Page, check the address is set, and check the page is switched on. Save.
  3. 3The address can only be lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores, between 2 and 50 characters. Capitals and spaces are rejected rather than tidied up.
  4. 4Some addresses are already taken by another vendor, and a few short ones are reserved. You will be told which; pick another.
  5. 5Changing the address does not keep the old one working. Anything already printed with the old address — a card, a sign, a linked post — stops resolving the moment you save.
  6. 6The page is public on purpose: no login, visible to anyone with the address, and search engines may find it. Only put on it what you would put on a market stall sign.
