Set your Shopify POS location for a show

Shopify POS charges sales tax by your location’s address. When you link a register to a show, FairKeep offers to move that location to the show’s address.

  1. 1Open the show and, in POS & Devices, set the POS type to Shopify.
  2. 2Tick the register you’ll use. The first one you tick opens the location prompt.
  3. 3Pick the location your POS sells from (for example Roaming POS). The prompt shows the address it’s set to now.
  4. 4Leave “Use this location every time” ticked so it’s picked for you next time.
  5. 5Check the show address, especially the ZIP, then choose Update in Shopify now — or Not now to leave it as it is.
  6. 6If it says your token can’t change locations, add write_locations to your FairKeep app in Shopify, reinstall it, and paste the new token on the Integrations page.
